Welcome to summer - officially - from a rain-cooled and soggy South Florida.
Summer really began Memorial Day weekend for some and with the change to daylight savings time for others. Today is a mere formality.
Still, summer is here, so no more using the arrival of summer as a way of pushing things off. Also no more talking about it in the future - "when summer gets here" - and no more talking about spring just because today hadn't arrived to make summer official.
Now it's time to enjoy the summer and - dare we say? - begin looking ahead to fall.
